Sunday Morning

What's it like to attend our church on a typical Sunday morning?

Well, here's a brief description of what happens:

  • We assemble in the sanctuary and sing a hymn, then we recognize any visitors.
  • We then recognize any birthdays or wedding anniversaries that occurred during the past week.
  • This is followed by some brief remarks and a prayer by the Sunday School Superintendent.
  • We then adjourn to classes to study and discuss the Word of God.

Here's a list of our current classes:

  • Adults (currently in the Book of Isaiah)
  • High School
  • Middle Grades
  • Elementary
  • Pre-School

When Sunday School adjourns at 10:30, we visit in the kitchen area while enjoying coffee, tea, or juices as we catch up on the week's events.

At 10:45, we come back to the sanctuary and sing a selection of praise songs. This begins our worship service as folks arrive and as others come back in from the fellowship time.

Our typical order of worship looks like this:

  • Greetings and Announcements
  • Call to Worship
  • Invocation
  • Opening Hymn
  • Special
  • Testimonies/Sharing
  • Offertory
  • Joys and Concerns
  • Hymn
  • Children's Message
  • Scripture
  • Message
  • Hymn
  • Benediction

Once a month, we share a carry-in meal together after the service.
